After suffering immense head damage after Shah Rukh Khan attacked him, Aamir khan is hell bent on beating him at the box office with his movie Ghajini while Shah rukh is defending himself using Rab ne bana di jodi…who will win? at the box office i mean…

Ice Cream Titles from Kenneth Sebastian on Vimeo.

My Theater Instructor Siddhanth K.S. wrote and directed this beautiful

short film called “Ice cream”. I was going to his Theater workshop (which is awesome!) ,

where he came across my work and asked me whether i would edit and

do the titles for his short film. I obliged and also ended up working on the

music for the movie, and finally the movie is done! Unfortunately as Siddhanth

is using this short film for his admission into NYU’s Film making course,

so i cant put it on youtube…So i just put a clip of the starting title sequence

i made for his movie (I made it in 2 hours! My fastest yet) for you guys to see…

I was heavily inspired by the title sequence in Le Souffler (click here)

which is just amazing and Andrew Kramer’s training videos…

ps:I will be starting Video tutorials soon, and will surely make one to show

you how i created this short title sequence…

Due to the onset of What would you do?6, i have started learning 3d softwares on my own. The last episode of the What would you do? Series has a lot of Visual effects and even though some lady from my class is helping me with the 3d work , i thought learning 3d wasnt such a bad idea. I basically will be concentrating on realistic Human and environment effects. Stictly Visual Effects for films. Thats the beauty of Learning on your own.

K i have attached my first trail work in 3ds max, i found some tutorial on youtube to make water texture, i thought i would add 6? to make it complete. I did the color correction in Adobe After effects.

What would you do?5

Its finally here, after lot of grueling work and sleepless nights, i finally finished it. But on a very serious note this movie could not have been made if it weren’t for my very cooperative friends who helped me so much asking nothing in return…now that i have the emotional things out of the way, I am submitting this movie to Sony Pix Short Film Festival. And lets all hope that it gets aired on TV because it deserves to be on TV.

In December the Waste of Time Cinema Special Edition DvD will release with all my movies in High Quality picture and Sound and over 1 hour of special features such as Visual Effects Breakdowns, Making, Commentary and much more…

In November the What would you do? Origins Graphic Novel (ala Comic Book) will also release ,illustrated and painted by Dilip Nair.

origins poster

What would you do? Origins is a graphic novel which will be handpainted by Dilip Nair, and will complete the story of What would you do? Series.

The comic book will be completely painted in watercolor. Dilip Nair, who already has a lot of experience as an illustrator in Virgin comics, will be illustrating and painting the whole comic book.

Before you start making or even trying to make a cool looking title sequence i would recommend you to visit this website The Art of The Title Sequence
, and watch some of the amazing title sequences from all over the world.Recently i watched Vantage Point and was impressed with the simple and neat title sequence. So, i went ahead and used the basic idea from it (geometric shapes showing parts of the movie) and used it for the title sequence of What would you do?5. I haven’t put the video here, but there is a high resolution picture of the title sequence.]

I made the whole thing in Adobe After Effects 7.0 Professional. What i did was first make Triangles of various  dimensions and animated them through time. Then, i took clips from the movie and arraged them in such a way that they look random and tilted. Then i used the traingles as an aplha matte for the clips i.e. told After effects that only show the clip inside the traingles.

Then i added a a blue tint to the clips. After that i added the wiggle tool, (that is to randomly change its position over time). You must make sure that the clips inside the triangles don’t disorient or distract the viewer too much. Then i added the text, i used a simple arial black format with white filling, and animated it so that it blurs in as it arrives. You can add various effects such as Glow (effects>stylize.>glow) and also animate the text.

Well you can see the final result when i release what would you do?5.

We are all familiar with mindless films. Recently there have been a lot of them. I came across some film makers in YouTube who make mindless films, they call themselves Smosh. Once i saw their videos, i realised that even acting dumb and doing totally ridiculous things can be very entertaining. They do have a solid script no matter how retarted it sounds. All i am trying to say that once in a while we all need to relax and just see some movies that make no sense at all… I have been so stressed with working on my short film, that i want to just make a video where i can have a lot of fun without worrying about anything… So you can expect to see a video very soon which will make no sense at all but will entertain you nonetheless.
